EASTBOURNE BUSINESS ADVICE

Business Adviser

BE YOUR OWN BOSS

Free, simple and frank advice about how to set up your own business.

Running your own business can be an exciting and highly rewarding experience. But how do you turn a good idea into one that makes money? What do you need to think about? Where should you start?

How can we help?
To help you through the process of starting your won business we will link you with an experienced adviser. They will help you discover that you need to consider and design a training package for your particular needs. If, through the process, you decide self-employment is not for you our advisers can also suggest other career options.

The training and support is free to anyone who is unemployed, currently working only a few hours a week or if you are in a situation that makes it hard for you to find suitable work.

The secret to succeeding in business is getting business support from the very beginning. A business Adviser is not only there to advise but is also there to be a mentor, a sounding board to support you and give you encouragement”.
Robert Games, Managing director of Pad Media.

What support is on offer?
Our training will cover any topic concerned with getting you ready to start your own business. Some of the areas in which we may be able to help include:

• Researching your idea, checking to see its potential
• Building your confidence to realise your ambitions
• Improving your literacy and numeracy skills
• How to create a business plan to pitch your idea confidently
• Managing your finances and legal requirements
• How to use specific IT programmes (Excel, Photoshop etc.)

What do I need to do?
All we need from you is a commitment to developing your idea into reality. Starting your own business can be tricky, but with effort you can enjoy the benefits. Before you meet a business adviser, work out your idea in as much detail as possible. Think about who it is aimed at and why you think your potential clients would be interested in your product or service.

How do I get in contact?
If you have a burning idea or are just interested in the thought of starting your own business please get in contact, you never know where it might lead. This is a friendly professional service that will help you on the journey to becoming your own boss.
