Deciding to Matter

The first thing when you have resolved to go in alone is to decide that what you are going to do matters. Hopingthat it goes well is not enough. You must say to yourself, hourly if necessary, "I matter and my business matters". That way you keep positive and passionate about what you intend to do.

Hunt down other new businesses - network and save!

With today's industry being not quite as great as it was (although it's getting much better), there are alot of people who suffered job losses/hours cut that are great at what they do. Lots of these people are setting up businesses that offer great rates for many different reasons - find these companies and put them to use! Who knows you could end up enjoying a long and successful business relationship together.

Use a PDF printer to save money and the environment

Many businesses use email as a primary point of contact, so save costs on printing invoices and other paperwork and instead use a PDF printer to save any file to PDF format and then email it. CutePDF is a perfect example.
