Check and check again
Proofread your copy. Then give it to someone you trust - and whose grammar and spelling are impeccable - and ask them to proofread it again. Few things put a potential customer off as much as lazy marketing - there's a subliminal message that the quality of your work will be just as lazy...

New business fire safety regulations
All new business owners are solely responsible for the safety of their staff and any visitors that may be on the premises. Please read the guide notes on the REGULATORY REFORM (FIRE SAFETY) ORDER 2005 Act, on the Kent Fire and Rescue Service website. This will enable you to understand your requirements and prevent you from being mis-sold or wrongly informed by unscrupulous fire safety companies. A little information goes a long way and will ensure you are receiving the best advice/service.

Understand the difference between Online Marketing Tactics and an Online Marketing Strategy
Most people approach their marketing from the level of Tactics rather than strategy - i.e. they think 'Oh, I need a website' or 'Maybe I should be doing Social Media' or 'I think I should do some advertising'... Consequently, the vast majority of them Struggle. Having an 'Online Marketing Strategy' simply means 'joining up all the dots' - understanding What it is you are trying to achieve, the shortest route to getting there and, most importantly, HOW to join up all the dots so that all of your marketing, both online and offline, links together and has a common purpose.

Competition
My tip for the day is to not let competition scare you. Lots of people are good at talking the talk but many will not deliver - you however will!
